My name is Sharren and I am 46 years old as of 2017. I am married and have two daughters- a 20 year old and a 17 year old. I grew up in foster care, and to protect my family, I will not provide a lot of information here, but if you'd like to ask me any specific questions, please e-mail me and I would be happy to share.
In a nutshell, I started my foster care journey at age 8 months, going in and out of foster care until age10, then returned to my biological family for ages 10-16 (the easiest years, right?!). At age 16 I returned to a foster family where I had lived with my sister from age 5-10.
In high school I experienced a season of adolescent depression, and my high school counselor helped me through this time, and for that reason I decided to pursue a career in school counseling.
Due to my many experiences and education, I have a good sense of insight on many topics. I like to research topics so if you have a question I am not sure about, I will research it for you!
I attended public school through graduation, and then attended Grace College in Winona Lake, IN from 1989-1993, and Ball State University from 1993-1995. God used all three of these learning environments to teach me many things and draw me closer to Him. I trusted Him to help me at an early age, otherwise I am not sure I would have turned out the way I did~ a positive, healthy adult! (You can ask my husband and children if that statement is true or not!)
